3. Apple Watch

Niwald Privacy Policy
Effective: October 2, 2026
Provider: jinxworks ("we")
Niwald is an app where you let your garden creatures grow by listening to the sounds around you. We do not collect your audio, location, or any personally identifiable information.
1. Information we collect
None. Niwald has no mechanism to send data to our servers. It contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking.
2. Information handled only on your device
| Information | How it is used | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Microphone audio | Only while you tap "Listen", the app computes four numbers (tone, rhythm, resonance, change) to grow your creatures, and uses Apple's on-device SoundAnalysis to recognize kinds of sounds such as "rain" or "car" | The audio itself is discarded immediately after analysis and never saved. Only the four numbers and the names of recognized sounds are kept |
| Speech | The app only detects that speech is present; it never transcribes or records what is said | Not saved |
| Location (only if you turn it on) | With "Memory places" turned on, the app records where your creature grew as a place name | Only the place name is kept on your device; coordinates are not saved. You can delete them anytime in Settings |
| Garden records | Your creatures, collection, decorations, letters, etc. | On your device only |
None of this leaves your iPhone (and your paired Apple Watch).
3. Apple Watch
When you listen on Apple Watch, only the four numbers and the time are sent to your iPhone through Apple's WatchConnectivity. No audio is sent, and nothing passes through our servers.
4. Purchases
"Expand the garden" purchases are handled by Apple's App Store. We never receive your payment information.
5. Sharing
"Share my garden" passes an image of your garden and a short text to the app you choose, only when you tap the share button. It does not include location or sound records.
6. Children
Niwald has no ads, no interaction with other people in the app, and collects no personal information.
7. Changes
We will announce changes on this page. If we add iCloud features in the future, we will describe them here before they are used.
